Firing up a torch for the first time at age 15, David Sandidge began his career as a lamp worker in 1979. As part time work throughout high school, then as a full time job, glasswork has been the only profession he has ever known. As David has said, “I couldn’t imagine a life doing anything else. I thank God that I found glass so early on in my life so that I didn’t have to waste time trying to figure out what I want to do. Glass has consumed my life and I never tire of it.”

David has been working for Arribas Brothers at Walt Disney World since 1994 where he designs merchandise and teaches a group of more than 20 artists who demonstrate in all of the Disney parks world wide. His designs include many different limited edition Disney characters, corporate awards, and special commissions for notable people such as Michael Eisner, Rosa Parks, Roy Disney Jr., and Ken Griffey Jr.

Born in 1964, David is part of a large family that includes several other glass artists as well. He now resides in Central Florida with his wife Dixie and daughter Karina.
